Some love stories happen all at once, and some take their time—ours was the latter.
It all started in high school golf class, where we became fast friends. That friendship turned into something more, and on Valentine’s Day 2014, we officially upgraded to dating status. After high school, we went our separate ways—Zach to SFA and me to Ole Miss. But it didn’t take long for me to realize that my heart belonged where Zach was, so I transferred to SFA.
College was an adventure full of growth and change, and eventually, we decided to go our separate ways. But even as life led us down different paths, we always seemed to find our way back to each other. Our shared friend group kept us connected throughout college; no matter what, we never missed a big moment together.
In December 2020, just before graduation, Zach invited me to a last dinner in Nacogdoches. That night, he told me something I believe we had both always known—our story was NOT over. He pulled out an envelope, handed me a plane ticket to Florida (where he was about to start his new job), and asked me to take a leap of faith. I did—and we’ve been together ever since.
After finishing grad school, we made a new home together in Dallas, and now, we’re ready to begin our next chapter as husband and wife. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this moment with all of you!
